You are bidding on four 9 inch diameter x 2" inch high Navy Officers rim soup Rolled Edge (RE). These bowls were made by the now out of business Sterling China Co. in Wellsville, Ohio.They have a 3/32 inch burnished coin gold edge line, a 1/32 inch gold verge line and a burnish Gold Department of the Navy Eagle crest. T is also a 1/16" cobalt blue line.These dishes have not been used and has no chips,cracks, or crazing. The one pictured on the back has a BM (Brent) stamp on the back indicating person who did the cobalt blue lining .The backstamps are X4 , T8 & V3.These bowls are made of the Sterling White body and are fully vitrified. The bowls were fired 3 times: Bisque firing at about 2250F, Glaze (Glost) firing at about 2140 F., and then the gold was fired into the glaze at about 1550 F.
