This is the first of several listings of pieces made for parures (full sets) by famous makers of vintage jewelry. These are adjustable length choker necklaces, dating the necklaces to 1947 through the 1950s. Often times, sets were marked on the earrings or brooch only, not on the necklace. Three of the four necklaces in this group do not have signatures. However, the style of chain or shape of the end fob are signatures that identify the makers as Bogoff , Francois , Coro , and Sarah Coventry . The necklaces are in good condition, with only one missing any stones or embellishments. The gold or silver metal finish retains its color on the front of the necklaces, even though it is worn on the back of the gold-tone necklaces. The pictures act as item descriptions and as the means for you to judge quality and condition. · Bogoff light gold-tone choker decorated with 45 faux pearl and over 50 clear rhinestones. The segments are the shape of the top of a fluer di lis . It is 16âe long. The drop chain of rhinestones was used by several makers. If memory serves, this is a book piece identified as Bogoff .. · Heavy gold-tone choker with a repeating three-leaf pattern . The leaves are small with a textured finish. The adjustment chain is a simple single link pattern, but each link is decorated with a faux rope design. The fob is a signature piece with both bright and brushed metal. The maker stamped the hook, âeoe Francois ©.âe It is 17âe long. · A sparse silver-tone choker with domed flowers made from five light blue rhinestones. T are three leaves for each flower formed from both brushed and bright enamel metal. The solid-link chain design is a signature of the maker, Coro . T almost no damage to the finish front or back. I saw just one small spot w the metal was exposed by a chip in the finish. It is 17âe long. · A second silver-tone choker is by Sarah Coventry . It is decorated with blue rhinestones set in a long leaf motif . T are five segments, each of which holds four small rhinestones and one larger stone. Several stones are missing, including one large one and 6 or 7 small ones. Otherwise, the piece is in good condition, with little wear to the finish or connections. The textured chain is a signature of Sarah Coventry. It is 15 ½âe long.
