Here is a very special item! This is the bucket section from an f-4 Phantom jet fighter Martin Baker ejection seat. From what I understand this bucket could be from a very early model of the Phantom due to the low serial number, which is only 390. The seat is also marked “AFT 25,” which could also indicate is is used in an early model of the Phantom. If you have any other information on this seat, please send me an e-mail, I would love to know more about it. This would be a great piece for a simulator, seat restoration project, seat for that special hot rod, display as is etc.. Besides being a really neat item out of a real fighter jet, this bucket is also a good investment. These seats are becoming increasingly rare since, from what I understand, the Department Of Defense crushes these seats now and they are no longer available for sale. This, combined with the fact that there were a very limited number of these seats to start with helps to make them more and more difficult to find as time goes on. Here is some of the information on the ID tag on the seat. Serial #: 390 MKH7A-2 ASSY. DRG. No. MBEU 3892-7 ISS. 1 COMP. DRG. No. MBEU 3893-7 ISS. 1 FMC No. 04253 Date: 1-68 Mod. 1921, 1946, 1946A 1943, 1920, 5015 116-69 As I mentioned earlier, if you have any information what model Phantom this seat was in, or even the actual read more
