Christmas in May! This auction is for a set of mid 1950s plastic Christmas Tree ornaments. T are two spinners - one carousel type and one star. The spinners inside work well. Each is made of day glo silver flecked plastic. T are also two silver plastic animals - a penguin and a donkey. The star spinner is marked PAT NO 2,761,232 ALSO OTHER PAT PENDING on one edge. The carousel is not marked. I think the heat from the lights probably causes the spinners to whirl around. The animals are marked MADE IN U.S.A. No cracks , or chips. Spinners - star 3 ½" high - carousel 3" high Animals - donkey 3" high - penguin 3 ½" high The patent number was issued in 1956.
