I will leave positive feedback immediately upon payment; please return the favor and leave positive feedback when the item arrives This is an auction for “scrap” materials and those materials are being sold “as-is” with no returns accepted. All sales are final, no refunds . Everything in this auction has been described in good faith and with great effort. The statements contained in this auction listing are based on empirical observations, but the auction should be considered "speculative" . Please perform your due diligence by reading everything carefully. Full Disclosures: We believe the digital scale used to weigh the lot to be accurate, but we do not have scientific weights to test its precise calibration. We came up with the same weight on a food scale (without tenth of grams available). For reference purposes, a shiny 2010 penny weighed-in at 2.6 grams and a clean 1982 penny weighed-in at 3.2 grams. These references suggest, but do no confirm, that the scale may be off by a tenth (1/10) gram. Please note that some of the pieces in the lot contain very minor debris that could not be readily removed, but there should be no significant change to the weight of the materials. We tested these materials electronically with an “ET 18 RS MIZAR” gold tester , which you can clearly see in the auction pictures. We followed the instructions precisely, including changing testing solution frequently. We cleaned the materials and verified the results by testing each piece in multiple spots. Furthermore, we checked the MIZAR tester with control samples (copper penny, sterling silver ring, 10K ring, 14K ring, 18K earring, gold-filled bracelet, gold-plated pin), and the MIZAR passed these checks. Even though these materials tested positive for white gold, there is no guarantee that the lot actually contains gold or other precious metals. The only true way to determine the content of precious metals is to perform a fire assay method called cupellation, or to examine the materials with a fluoroscopic x-ray machine. Since we do not have the capacity to perform a fire assay on the materials, or the money to buy an x-ray machine, we relied on the electronic test for gold, and any implicit guarantees are simply that the lot will test positive for gold with an ET18RS MIZAR tester. We are not experts in dentistry or metallurgy, and you should use your own knowledge and judgment in speculating on an appropriate value for this lot when bidding. ***We have attempted to research the nature of false positives from palladium and platinum, but have been unsuccessful. It remains unclear what percentage content of palladium or platinum would yield a false positive. Special Note on Feedback: As a prudent Ebayer, you should view our feedback profile. There is a single negative review that came from an auction similar to this one. The buyer stated that the materials were not gold.
