The photo is from Marsh's monthly dealer news sheets. This kit will allow you to Kaye Griffiths’ ex-Team VDS McLaren M8E/D, chassis 80-08. Griffiths ran the car in a few 1973 Interserie events as well as some “Formula Libre” events in the UK. Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham agreed to sponsor the car for the 1974 season. Kaye dnf’s at the Silverstone Interserie event but went on to win of take podium places at a number of UK events. THe box states that the car is from 1972; however, it ws tun by VDS at that time. The most prominent feature of the car was its every colorful livery. The car was not seen for ages until it turned up at the 2007 Monterrey Historics in restored form. This car definitely has a unique pedigree – Led Zeppelin sponsorship and a stunning livery. Note: the car has an extensive amount of decals so I recommend that only experienced builders take it on .
