Hello from Soldan Models, Thought i would surprise everyone with an early release.(001) This is a 1/43 hand made resin model of my interpretation of the Thunderbowl Comet. Although the car's story varies, it was originally created for a Jimmy Stewart movie called "Speed" in 1936. Over the course of its life it wore several different hats and paint changes, and rumor has it that it made a speed attempt at one the dry lakes. It was parked alongside Highway 14 out near Acton California as a road side attraction for a little dinner. It also sat in a used car lot, and was parked on a street in Hollywood in the late 40's. The car was built on a stretched L29 Cord chassis and eventually was bought and dismantled for its Cord parts. Sad end to a very interesting vehicle that just wanted to go to Bonneville. Each model is hand made and finished, painted, decals applied and clear coated, then mounted to a base and double boxed. If all goes well, and if decals can be achieved, there will also be a limited number of the very early Black version Golden Eagle. Models will be shipped Air Priority mail to US sites, all international shipping will go Air First Class with only the custom number to track to the port of Los Angles. if you prefer a tracking number, let me know before you pay so i can adjust shipping cost. I will also combine shipping
