is a stunning incomplete 45 piece vintage Gorham Sterling Silver flatware set! These pieces are heavy! I do not know the name of this style nor do I know the age. A true Gorham collector knows what he/she is looking at. I do know that Gorham flatware has been the choice of silverware for many United States Presidential administrations. 16 teaspoons, 7 soup spoons, 1 long spoon, 9 dinner forks, 7 dessert forks, 5 butter knives. The dessert forks have a design going all the way up the tines; very unique! The entire weight of this set is 2271 grams, or a little more than 5-pounds of Sterling Silver! GOOD LUCK! The five butter knives have stainless blades. Each piece weighs 72 grams, or 360 grams total. The balance point is w the stainless & sterling connect, making the silver weight of the knives 180 grams. This puts the silver weight of the entire set at 2091 grams.
