Up for auction here is a Very Nice and Very Rich specimen of Native Gold in Quartz from the Mother Lode region of northern California. The piece measures 3.4 x 0.9 x 0.8 cm and weighs 8.46 grams . The gold in this piece occurs as a textured mass that wraps around a core of snow white quartz. The gold makes up most of the weight of the specimen, giving the piece good heft.
