AUSTIN KAYE 47mm SLK1946 STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC AUSTIN KAYE have been established in London in the Strand since 1946. This renowned jewellers are now known worldwide for dealing in new & vintage examples of iconic wristwatches such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega etc. Around three years ago, they decided to commission a wristwatch to commemorate the founder, Stanley Lionel Kaye who established the business in 1946. The SLK1946 was born - available in a relatively small numbers at the time, the case was hand made in Italy and fitted with a Swiss Automatic movement. The quality design is in the IWC 'military' style with a case measuring approx. 47mm in diameter excluding the three-position crown - (i) winding (ii) quick-set date (iii) hand-set. Black dial, luminous Arabic numerals & hands. Display back as per the high-res photos, it is running well. It is a used watch however and comes with no warranty and with, as always, the recommendation that it requires a clean & service. Complete with its quality Italian made Vera Pelle strap and Austin Kaye box.
