5/2/69 LA Free Press w/ RARE Led Zeppelin Pasadena Ad! DESCRIPTION This is the May 2-9, 1969 issue (2 section tabloid) of the LA Free Press which has an incredible full page color ad for Led Zeppelin's May 2nd & 3rd, 1969 concerts at the Pasadena Rose Palace. This is a classic image printed in light blue and black, and it's stunning to see in this form. (T were large black and white posters of this same image issued in the late 1980's.) A picture of Jimmy Page is shown along with others in another full page ad which promotes Joe Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends album. Also includes half page ad for a concert by The Seeds with Lee Michaels, an smaller ad for a Pete Seeger performance, one for Dion with Melanie in concert, an ad for the Bob Dylan "Don't Look Back" movie, and some wild 60's adult ads. This is a tough issue of this semi-radical paper to find; it doesn't surface very often.
