This auction is for 1 chunk of 'Plomosa Mountain Plume' Jasper/Jasp-Agate rough from Arizona weighing 5.6 pounds. Cuts amazing cabs! (and who knows what else) All of it I've seen has striking red/yellow and sometimes even green plumes. Black drusy crystal pockets have also been found in several pieces so far. It comes from up in the Plomosa Mountains somew about 20 miles NE of Quartzsite, Arizona at an undisclosed (to us) location. I'm told this was a fairly recent new find but the finder had a major injury and is facing at least a couple operations. To our knowledge no one other than the finder knows w the deposit is precisely located. For now t is no more supply in sight since he won't be going out and loading up anytime soon and apparently has no more onhand. Supplies are really starting to get down t so claim your piece soon or risk a very long wait for more to become available. Winning bidder will receive the piece shown. Pictured wet under 4700k SoLux lighting with a white background for reference. All measurements are in inches. About the Photos: I generally take photos wet to bring the details out to w the camera can catch them, but some pieces will be photographed dry if being wet results in too much glare. I'm not a professional photographer so many photos will not show some details or colors well. I try hard to get the best quality images I can with the equipment I have available. We (Northern Oregon coastal residents) get far more rain/cloudcover than we get sunshine, so full sunlight is usually out of the question. With that in mind I'm making the switch to industry standard SoLux Lighting as its the best light source on the market for accurate color rendering. If a particular rock won't yield a photo which matches the colors in the rock, I will make a notation of it in its description. Also, I consider 'photo enhancements' or 'touch-ups' to be a dishonest, deceptive and unethical method of marketing - they will never be used in any photos of items I offer for sale.
