A PERFECT UNCIRCULATED AND FIRST PREFIX EXAMPLE OF THIS ATTRACTIVE HIGH VALUE NOTE The World Heritage Site series, introduced in 2009 to replace its long-running Famous Scots series, still honours a famous Scot on the obverse of each note but on the reverse features one Scotland's five world heritage sites . For the £50 denomination the famous Scot is Elsie Inglis - a pioneering nurse and suffragette whose portrait is depicted in front of an image of the Edinburgh maternity hospice which she founded in 1894. The world heritage site featured in the reverse design is part of the Antonine Wall - the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire.
