Each piece has been acid tested at least 18k gold plating. Nothing goes in to the melt without being tested first. This drop will NOT acid test positive for gold before refining the drop. You have to refine this drop to yi eld th e gold. My drops are made by taking computer pins and melting them down with a torch. I use bora x a s a flux ingredient during the melt. The pins are melted ONE time (why would you need to melt more than once?), *EXAMPLE * If a 24g drop were 10k gold, then it would be near 10g of 24k gold after re fining . 10g is worth over 500$ .* EXAMPLE * This is NOT solid gold. If it were solid gold, I would list it as solid gold.
