Recently acquired out of an estate is this ~HUGE~ 51 inch battery operated model ship. I placed a can of pop in front of this ship in my 3rd picture just to show how large this vessel really is. It is a very impressive, Vintage model ship that would stand out in any collection. I would estimate that it is from the 1950's-1060's era. It is all wood construction and has a great look as you will see. It has a large Pittman A panther boat motor in it. I believe it may be a remote control model ship by the looks of the operating system under the hatches. I'm sure the collectors will know more than we do about this vintage model ship. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear etc. T are a few of the little wood trolling masts that are broken and a couple that are missing ~ should be a fairly easy fix if you work on model ships. Also a few loose pieces on the deck and it will need a rudder. The ship measures ~FOUR FEET 3 Inches long by about 13 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches wide. It has a three blade brass propeller and I did not test the motor. Looks like it is pretty much ready to sail though. This would make a wonderful display model for your a seafood restaurant, ocean front bar or simply your office. It is really a very nice Vintage model ship.
