American Flyer's 5323T Mountaineer Train Set. Offered in 1952, this set includes the number 282 pacific steam locomotive with smoke and choo choo, 623 reefer, 625G gulf tanker, 630 caboose, 631 gondola, 640 hopper, 642 Seaboard boxcar, 702 x12 curve track, 700 x2 straight track, 706 uncoupler, 690 terminal, 693 x14 track locks, 40 smoke maintainence kit (brush and funnel), 2 transformer, and instruction manual. All boxes and wraps are original. The only boxes that are not included are the box for the #40 smoke maintainence kit, although it is contained in a plastic bag, and the box for the 700 straight track. There are only slight defects on this set; the 630 caboose has an area of paint chips on the roof (shown in pictures), the 625G tank car has slight chipping on the chassis (shown in pictures), and the set box is not in good shape as one of the top edges is folded over (shown in pictures). the rest of the set is in great shape though, including the 282 engine. This set is overall a great piece and would fit perfectly into anyone's American Flyer collection. All trains in our collection have been appraised by a prominent professional American Flyer dealer and collector in the Northeast.
