(6) LIMOGES IVORY WHITE & GOLD ENCRUSTED CUPS & SAUCERS LIMOGES 6 Sets Gold Encrusted Cups & Saucersin3 Patterns Stunning lot of 6 factory decorated Limoges china cups & saucers that are ivory and white with a variety of gold encrusted bands and decorations. T are three patterns with 2 sets in each pattern (3 x 2 =6). 4 sets are marked with Martial Redon / La Porcelain Limousine marks, and the other set is marked with a JPL / Jean Pouyat Limoge mark. These were purchased from the same estate sale - all about the same size and look so beautiful together - I decided to keep them together. They will go nicely with any of your white or ivory gold encrusted dinnerware and tea sets. MARKINGS 2 are marked with a red circle mark "M. Redon, France" and a green mark "PL over Limoges France" [Martial Redon / La Porcelaine Limousine circa 1905 to late 1930s].The third set is marked with three marks: Green whiteware mark "J. P. L. over France" green and red wreath decorator's mark "J. Pouyat, Limoges" [Jean Pouyat, factory decorated, also circa 1906-1932.] It also has a green Wanamaker's import mark of a "W" and wreath mark. My book says this is an early 1900s mark. EXCELLENT CONDITION These are all in excellent to mint condition with no chips, cracks, or lines. The gold is very nice near mint condition. I see just a tad bit of thinning on the very outer edge of a few saucers - really minimal and display beautifully. A wonderful addition to your vintage and antique Limoges fine china collection!
