Last year I offered a lesser quantity of this same tassel, and now the remainder of my old stock has surfaced. These are the last of the lot, and they are very handsome indeed. They are of silk, silk chenille, and thick metallic cord, now burnished to a bronzy tone. The concentric chenille bands are frilled both above and below with curly loops of the watermelon silk yarn intertwined with metallic thread. They may have originally been intended as tiebacks, as the twist-silk cords are 24" long, more than adequate to encircle a drape. The body of the tassel measures 8" in depth and the turban head is approx. 3" around. The actual color of the tassel yarn is about halfway between the high-fuschia in some of the photos and the coral in others; it is more of a pinky watermelon, and the chenille is a bright plum, a lovely combination.
