Aloha, Up for auction from a recent estate in Honolulu Hawaii this 1966 group of 4x Ethiopian framed paintings and 1x large rolled up 44 panel painting that tell the story on how the Ethiopian and the Jewish people came together 3000 years ago. This and other pieces that I am currently listing came from the estate of my client’s parents that worked for NATO and were stationed in the 1950’s at different locations all over after-war Europe and Africa. My clients father purchased this group on a visit to Ethiopia. As you can see there is a detailed explanation included but I will give excerpts in the following paragraph: “The ancient Ethiopians 3000 years ago worshiped the cobra and gave their first born child as an offering to the cobra. One man by the name of Agnobs one day decided to kill the cobra and he became King of Ethiopia. He had a daughter who was named Sheba who after becoming princess visited King Solomon of Judea and had a child with him. The child was named Menelik and the emperors of Ethiopia claim direct descend from Menelik to this day.
