Wouldn't you rather see the test results of a tube you are considering buying instead of taking a total stranger's word for it? This early 1960's GE 12AX7A with 14mm ribbed gray plates and a halo getter has passed testing for gas, shorts and mutual conductance on our newly calibrated Hickok Model 799 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Photos of the actual testing of the two triodes of this specific tube have been supplied. On this model of tube tester, 54 is minimum good (65% of new). Theoretical "new" is a range defined by one standard deviation on either side of 83, from the low 70's to the low 90's. As you can see, this tube tested a NEAR NOS PERFECTLY MATCHED 67/67. Averaging those numbers, one can estimate that this tube has over 80% of its life left, in other words, THOUSANDS of hours. The printing is good (in white) GE logo Electronic 12AX7 ECC83 188-?
