A collection of 63 used but cared for classic doll moulds, one or two with slight chipping on the outside, which does not affect the inside and therefore the presentation or quality of the doll being made. Most of the moulds are made by Seeley and Bryon. These plaster of paris moulds are used for making porcelain dolls, some are complete sets whilst others are partial sets with the rest of the body being made from composition / calico fabric. There are sets and also arms, legs, heads, bodies and shoulder plates which interchange. Sizes range from dolls house dolls to 9 ½, 11, 14, 16, 18, 20 & 24 inches. All the moulds are rubber banded to stop warp and damage. Also included in the listing are previous issues of the doll magazine Gildebrief together with 11 books on dolls and doll making, some of which are hardback. These moulds packed in ten boxes are very heavy and therefore must be collected from the Blandford Forum area of Dorset, within 10 days of the auction ending. Cash on collection please. Viewing is possible but must be by prior arrangement, please message me with a contact telephone number to arrange a suitable time. Reason for selling- my mother used to make porcelain dolls but has now given up the hobby to pursue other interests.
