And on the sixth anniversary of the reopening of the National Roller Derby Hall of Fame, we announce our annual CELEBRATION of the sport on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Philadelphia. Roller Derby Hall-of-Famers, former skaters, current skaters along with fans from around the world will attend. SCHEDULED TO APPEAR are legendary skaters JUDY ARNOLD, 'Little RICHARD' BROWN & JUDY SOWINSKI!!!! To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Roller Derby's debut, the NRD HOF will host a day-long celebration of the game and its greatest star on NOVEMBER 13 in Philadelphia at the PJRD Warehouse (1801 West Indiana Avenue) where PENN JERSEY ROLLER DERBY continues to bring together elements of 'old school' Roller Derby and the 'new version' of the game under the guidance of Hall-of-Famer JUDY SOWINSKI and former Roller Games' star, ARNOLD 'Skip' SCHOEN. The day will begin at 10 AM with a two-hour 'MASTER CLASS' on the PJRD banked track for skaters with Derby Hall-of-Famers & former greats of the sport. Some of the greatest stars in the history of the sport will join HOFer JUDY SOWINSKI in leading the class. At 1 PM, an 'OPEN HOUSE' will take place where the Philadelphia community will be reintroduced to former stars of Roller Games and meet members of the Penn Jersey Roller Derby.
