Welcome to my auction. This is an original "Ignatz" Clock from October 9, 1883 by the Maker Jerome & Company(Marked on dial) Many of the clocks oif this type you see on E Bay are re-pros by Charles Terwiliger ( Horolovar& Co)and were made in Gemany by his company in the 1960's. Back in those days Charley Terwiliger was selling them, at our N.Y. meetings for $35.00. Many people try to sell these clocks on E Bay as old they are not. The clock in this auction is original and was a Terwiliger prototype & was purchased in the 1960's at a N.Y. Meeting from an older ( Known) Clock collector. I Have had it in my collection all these years, it is in good mechanicakl condition and as with all "Ignatz" clocks keeps time when it wants to. A truly original American clock by Jerome & Co, that became the New Haven Clock Company.I am slowly selling all of my clocks on EBay, the time has come to change diirection.
