DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a wonderful Lafer rosewood or jacaranda wood and leather lounge sling sofa from Brazil, likely created in the 70's. Daniel and Percival Lafer worked during the same period and same area as the other famous Brazilian furniture designer, Sergio Rodrigues. The Lafer's raised their own cattle for the hides they used in creating their furniture. This sofa was created with a unique design. The deep, rich chocolate brown leather "glove" bucket sofa seat on a concealed steel frame is supported by solid rosewood club legs. It appears to defy gravity! A very organic shape. The leg support bolts are covered with rosewood "pegs". The headrest detaches. A extremely unique piece with an an interesting architectural design element. The leather sections on the back of the sofa are stitched with rawhide. Lafer furniture is becoming more recognizable and sought after. In addition to being very comfortable and made from high quality materials, early Lafer furniture is a great investment. DIMENSIONS: Approx: 30" height x 75" long x 35" depth. Total weight approx: 120 pounds CONDITION: The sofa is in excellent condition. The leather is high quality, supple, well conditioned and free from rips or tears.
