7448 Here is an antique Japanese wedding kimono Uchikake made of cream colored silk and embroidered heavily with gold and silver threads witha peacock and floral design. The uchikake has been altered-shortened to coat length, and the sleeves have also been shortened from their original long furisode length to shorter and more convenient length. (that way the wearer doesn't drag them thru the salad at dinner). There are brown stains on the front of the garment and a few on the sleeve fronts. Some of the embroidery is loose. In good antique condition.
