In my professional opinion (based upon 35 years of experience as a full-time dealer), the following item is: #745. Six Cent National Park: Crater Lake. Flat Press Sheet of 50. I grade this item: Fine to Very Fine*, which means: Well-centered. Never Hinged original gum. Sheet is folded, and has light gum creases and skips, which is normal for this flat press issue. Sheet is complete--scanner is not quite wide enough to capture the whole image. I have 10 sheets available, in the same grade as the sheet illustrated. It is the most comprehensive, easiest and best system devised for grading stamps. It is designed to safeguard you, the buyer, and the Ebay community. My system was up and functional MANY YEARS before Scott catalog, PFC, PSE, and others added grading to their certificates. It is personally gratifying to see that after a few years of practice, the grading standards used by Scott, PFC, and PSE are finally moving closer to my system. However, as stated on every certificate issued by these 3rd-party graders, the identification and grading of stamps is subjective and always given as a professional "opinion" only. The professional services can and do reverse themselves. You can, and should verify the quality of this item by careful inspection once your receive it. If you don't think this item is correctly identified or graded, then simply return it within 14 days of receipt for a full refund. Unfortunately, the maximum time for a cancellation of sale through Ebay does not allow enough time for you to obtain a third-party expertization. For this reason, if you desire expertization, you must contact me BEFORE purchasing this item. Valuation: with a few exceptions, items are valued by current Scott Specialized Catalog Value. If merited, I quote from the US Specialized by Grade section (see Pg 310 of the Scott Specialized Catalog), which is specifically designed to estimate value for higher-grade stamps. For a few items, the SCV must be estimated, notably for pre-1870 never hinged items, because Scott does not provide a value. Shipping: Sorry, I do not ship Ebay orders outside of the United States.
