8-1/4 INCH, VERY RARE, MOUTH-BLOWN, HAND-MADE, CRYSTAL CRACKLE GLASS, RUFFLED RIM, STEMMED VASE / BOWL, MADE BY BLUE DEL OF HUNTINGTON , WEST VIRGINIA Maker: Blue Del of Huntington , West Virginia , with Worn but Legible 99% Intact Label Style: Ruffled Rim, Stemmed Vase/Bowl Era: 1940 -- 1950 Height: about 8-1/4 inches Diameter: about 6-1/2 inches at widest part of the flared rim Weight (without packing materials): about 2 pounds, 4 ounces Condition: Excellent DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY !!! THIS VERY UNUSUAL AND RARE HAND-MADE, MOUTH-BLOWN, CRYSTAL CRACKLE-GLASS RUFFLED RIM, STEMMED VASE WAS MADE BY BLUE DEL OF HUNTINGTON , WEST VIRGINIA . Blue Del was located on 10th Street and Eighth Avenue . The factory was in production for only 10 years, from 1940 to 1950, when it was destroyed by a fire. I have never seen another of these Ruffled Vases, not even in a book. AND, THIS ONE HAS A WORN, BUT ALMOST COMPLETE LABEL INTACT. THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF CRACKLE ART GLASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR OF RARE CRACKLE GLASS, THIS IS A MUST HAVE. The Stem of this Gorgeous Vase is not Crackled. As the Body of the Vase moves toward the Ruffled Edge, the Crackle fades away, and the Ruffle is also not crackled. T is a tiny bit of appropriate age-wear, including a small patch of tiny scratches (perhaps from the stem of a flower), that are not even deep enough to catch the fingernail, but in the interest of complete disclosure, I am mentioning them. Considering the age of this piece, I did not consider them enough to lower from the Excellent Rating I have given this Outstanding Piece of Art Glass. But for that, this piece would be listed as Near Mint. Other than that mentioned, t are no cracks (other than the crackle), checks, scratches, chips, flea bites, or other damage. This Beautiful Glass Art is clean and free from residue. The pontil is slightly rough. I make every effort to point out every flaw in each item, even minor and minute things, to the best of my knowledge and information. I also try my best to correctly identify items by maker when I can. However, you must be aware, I am not an expert, and tfore I may make errors. These variations are not flaws. The same holds true of hand-made, mouth-blown crackle glass.
