8" Ameritool Universal Heavy-Duty Grinder and Polishing Machine Great for Glass or Lapidary The Universal is a complete Heavy Duty Grinding and Polishing Lapidary Machine that is versatile, clean, quiet and easy to use. Designed for commercial production use yet it is affordable for the hobbyist. The 5 step accessory kit makes it possible to grind, shape, sand, polish and finish a wide variety of gem material and glass, both natural and synthetic, including quartz, agate, jasper, tourmaline, corundum and opal, as well as dichronic glass and glass beads. Because the Universal is a horizontal lap machine you can grind flats, make free form cabochons, rework quartz crystals, do intarsia and detailed inlay work. The Universal is excellent for glass work. No fire polish is required. The clean, quiet Universal HD measuring only 12" x 12" can be used in the studio, house, trade show or in a recreational vehicle. Clean up is easy!
