A stunning handwoven 100% cotton 'Antik Batik pour Marionnaud' batik scarf with a bright floral inspired design in pinks, purples and greens - this is vivid but not quite as screamingly 'fluorescent' as it appears on my computer screen! Antik Batik was founded in 1992 by Gabrielle Cortese, inspired particularly by a visit to Bali, and Marionnaud is a successful French perfumery founded in 1969 - both easily 'googled' for more info - but haven't been able to establish the exact date this - presumably promotional - item was commissioned. This is quite a coarse weave vintage '90s - or possibly 'noughties' long wide scarf this is in immaculate, totally perfect, unworn condition. Measuring approximately 54 x 21" The fabric is a fine yet fairly open-weave cotton, of good quality but being handwoven and coloured by the batik process, with some very tiny irregularities here & there. STUNNING DESIGN!
