Hi Folks,Up for bids is a 1948 TRUETONE BLACK FABRIC COVERED,LUGGAGE TYPE,PORTABLE 6 TUBE TYPE,BC{AM},This portable radio is in good working condion,the tubes are serviced,weak tubes replaced and it has new filter capacitors.Station come in loud and clear,the fabric covering is good,needs cleaned,I'm very bad at cleaning because I like the original dirt on my radios!.I will leave this task to a new owner.I allways clean the inside and the chassis when I recap.This radio has a beautiful dash,nice metal work.TRUETONE was the brandname used by the WESTERN AUTO SUPPLY Co. of Kansas City,Missouri.These luggage types were the great portables of the day taken everywhere from picnics to cross country travel.In just a few short years we would have the transistor which put an end to this great radio genre,thank you Roswell,{And the aliens too!}.This is a good working old radio that is sold as is,no returns.Buyer pays all shipping,payment is due upon recieving your invoice,Thank You and GOOD LUCK.
