Minted in .999 fine solid copper, with an approximate diameter of 39mm. The original Bitcoin concept was created in 2009 as a complete and total "Digital Currency". The idea is to have a decentralized currency that can be transferred from person to person over the internet, without using a BANK. The total number of Bitcoins is permanently set with a calculated release, as time goes on the rate at which they are released decreases until it hits a maximum of 21,000,000. By doing this they eliminate any inflation after the final number has been released. A joint effort between MJB Metals of the UK and the AOCS takes this concept to the next level by actually minting a Bitcoin round in .999 fine copper! Located on the obverse of this round you will find the Bitcoin symbol centered withi the middle of intricate circuitry. Written in a "digital" type text is the verbiage: "Bitcoin", "Digital", "Decentralized" and "Peer to Peer"--(the key features of the Bitcoin currency).
