A Stunning 9ct Gold Edwardian Suffragette Holbein c1910 Set with Peridot, Amethyst & Fine Seed Pearls A stunning Edwardian 9ct Gold Holbein or Pendant/Brooch combining Peridot, Amethyst and Seed Pearls to create a jewel that was a tangible symbol of support for the Women's Suffrage Movement - the Suffragettes (please seethe detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of theitem's description). The suffragette colours; the purple was for dignity, the white was for purity and the green was for hope were sometimes thought to have a much more direct and literal meaning i.e. G (green) stood for 'GIVE', W (white) stood for 'WOMEN', and V (violet) stood for 'the VOTE'.
