Here is an unusual piece of war art, a volleyball trophy won by the 9th CBs (Naval Construction Battalion) during 1944 in the South Pacific. Made from a 1943 US Navy shell casing with strap handles soldered on and engraved copper plate that reads in script: "1944 Volley ball N.A.B. 152 Winner 9th CB's" Measures 9.5" tall.
