A sound Remington New Model Army Revolver having an 8 ins rifled .44Cal. brrel engraved "Patented Sept .14,1858/E Remington & sons Ilion ,New York,USA /New Model."This pistol has a solid frame and 6 shot cylinder.It has a brass triggerguard and wooden grips.Even patination overall.This model was one of the major handguns of the Civil War and favoured by many above its competitor the Colt 1860 Army.
