A Signed Standard WWII Japanese Army Officer's Sword. The sword has a 26 3/4" blade with a nice straight temper line. The tip is in excellent condition while the body has a few light scratches, one spot of concentrated pitting and a few very, very small spots scattered throughout the body (see photos). The blade's edge has a few very light nicks. The tang measures 8 3/8" and is signed (see photos). T is also one mark below the signature (see photo). Tsuba, menuki, binding, ray skin, pommel and all handle parts are near mint condition. The standard metal scabbard is in excellent condition with only one scratch on the back (see photo). A very nice combat sword in well above average condition. Cloth case included.
