A WILKINSON Automatic COIN SCALE 1780 Wood Case BALANCE The item(s) in this auction is part of a scale related collection assembled by a 31 year member of the International Society of Antique Scale Collectors (ISASC). This collection consists of 400 individual scales, 250 coin weights, many other weight sets, individual weights of other types, books, photos, and other scale related paper items. All of these items will be offered in the following months. It is our intention that each auction increment offered for sale will consist of 20 or more lots. Intentions are that each of these auction increments represent a variety of selection rather than concentrating on a particular style or type. Each new auction lot will open before close of the previous. The vintage of most items date from 1700 lot 1850. All lots will be offered on this site. Country of Origin......England Maker.........................A Wilkinson Ormskirk Circa...........................1780 Type............................automatic with equal arm balance Size.............................beam 4 1/2 inches...box is 5 1/4 x 1 inch Case............................hardwood cut from solid with slab lid, brass features include button catch that works great and hinged bridging that hoists scale into place when opening case, label inside Condition...................Very Fine, some wear to beautifully colored aged wood with some tiny scuffs and edge nicks seen on bottom of case near middle edges Remarks.....................impossible to classify but vintage indicates this scale could be for the Guinea For Your Information: PAYMENT: Buyer satisfaction is paramount to us, if t is any problem let us know right away and we will take care of it.
