Street car cover with a "TAPS!" cachet label and postmarked on June 2, 1934, Elkhart, Ind. for a "last day" service on the Northern Indiana Railway. Cover was endorsed with the official railroad cancel of "C.S.B. & N.I.RY.CO./ Jun-2'34 / ELKHART, INDIANA". The "C.S.B. & N.I.RY.CO." stands for "Chicago South Bend and Northern Indiana Railway Company". With this cover there are 4 well-preserved street car tickets for the Elkhart's Main, Jefferson, Jackson and Hickory lines. After June 2, 1934, all interurban railway service to and from Elkhart was discontinued and replaced with buses. Shipping cost is $1.50 to only U.S. addresses.
