Introducing the Stunning Tallulah Made from the Taylor Sculpt by Donna Rubert Reborned by Artist Katie Messou So realistic and beautiful you will hardly be able to put this gorgeous girl down. Tallulah is very large aprox 31 inches the size of the average 2-3 year old. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember and have a genuine passion for art and all things beautiful. I am also a qualified beautician and makeup artist which helps greatly when creating my reborns. I am a young mum at just 28 and when I am not working or running around after my son I love doing anything arty, when I discovered reborn dolls I was mesmerised and could not wait to make one. I have a special interest in ethnic tones and as my husband and son are of ethnic heritage I get to see these up close and personal every day. I have used my own blend of Gensis heat set paints to obtain my realistic mixed afro skin tone, this heat set paint will never fade or rub off. I have blushed Tallulah lightly to give her a rosy, warm glow. I have micro rooted real curly human hair which provides a lifelike look and is tactile. It has taken many many hours to achieve the desired full effect that I wanted, Tallulah literally has masses of hair. I have glued the hair on the inside so that it can be lightly styled. Hair can be spritzed lightly with a water spray or a curl cream can be used to define the beautiful ringlets. I have given Tallulah long luscious eyelashes and hand painted her eye brows. I have made the palms of the hands and feet pale and realistic just like real ethnic skin, I have also lightly blushed these to give a healthy childlike look. The nails I have kept pale and drawn inspiration by looking at the shade of my 7 year old sons nail beds. I have used the Taylor sculpt by Donna Rubert which was an absolute pleasure to work on, upon arrival I was a bit shocked by how large the sculp was as I had never reborned such a large doll, however I cannot wait to do the next one. Tallulah has a quality brown doe suede jointed body which I have filled with glass beads to obtain a healthy weight of around 8lbs. I did not want to make her too heavy for transportation reasons. I have not opened Tallulahs nostrils for fear of damaging the vinyl however I have darkened these to provide a life like appearance. Tallulah is around 31" long and has three quater limbs. Tallulah is a sitting doll. Tallulah will arrive with you wearing her red and white party dress with matching headband and frilly socks. I will also include the Fifi pyjamas in the photos and her Dora the Explorer rag doll which she seems rather attached to and will keep her company whilst on her journey to you. I have taken all of my own pictures using a standard digital camera and no enhancement has been done to any of the pictures, I just wish that they did her more justice. Tallulah has no magnet so is safe to be in the proximity of pace makers and electrical devices. Please be aware that Tallulah is NOT A TOY but a collectable piece or artwork and is therefore absolutely not suitable for small children to touch or play with.* I have loved every second of creating Tallulah and when she was finally finished I was so pleased with how she had turned out that I nearly cried, I cannot stop looking at her!
