up for auction is an "AAFA Early Thick Wall Swing Bail Handle Pantry Box, Antique Pantry Box in Paint"measures 11" diameter x 6-3/4" tall, weight 2 lbs. 0.1 oz.of New England origin, circa 1860-1890This Antique Pantry Box is in as found condition.Made of thick wall oak and pine, having single lap-band, wood peg and iron clinch nail construction.Original hardwood and wire bail-handle with original metal mounts.In 20th century oil base Blue color paint.Overall condition good, no top edge rim damage, old glued crack to bottom, a few old bottom support nails added.A Few missing wood pegs, lap-joint wear, original lid chips and niks with top shrinkage.
