We've located an original movie poster from ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN: the poster is an insert (14x36), unfolded . This very scarce memorabilia ties into the movie's original 1948 release ( this poster is an original, NOT a reproduction nor a reissue ). Without dispute, the art is the very best of the MEET FRANKENSTEIN poster options (quite superior to the one-sheet and half-sheets): rather than lapse into caricatures, the monsters are photographically rendered into Universal horror icons (see photos, below ). This insert has also proven much more elusive than the one-sheet and half-sheets!

During the past decade, the poster had been framed and preserved behind UV glass ( see photo ). The poster is all "natural"; no restoration was necessary (see flip side of poster, photo below ). The colors are extremely vivid, completely unfaded : exempting a small chip omitted from the bottom right corner ( see photo ), the poster has been preserved in miraculous shape.

We have rejected A&C MEET FRANKENSTEIN posters in the past because the paper was suspect, eroded or impaired. However, we jumped at this insert because it has survived the past 60 years in exemplary condition. As aforementioned, the previous owner carefully preserved the poster (shielding it behind UV glass, sheltering it in a partially darkened, smoke-free environment).

The poster will be dispatched (rolled) in a tube.
