Offering this stunning American Brilliant cut glass bowl designed by Wm. C. Anderson of the American Cut Glass Company. The bowl measures 8 1/4" in diameter and 3 1/2" high. Very good vintage condition. Some chips to the scalloped sawtooth edge and a couple very small micro chips to pattern. Please see photographs. The bowl has alternating pie wedge panels that begin in the center of the bowl. The first panel consists of a large rayed star with flashing, which resembles a palm tree. This is an exceptional bowl cut in the Oasis pattern by the American Cut Glass Company. Wm. C. Anderson was the foreman of Libbey's cutting department and patented many cut glass designs. He then organized the American Cut Glass Company in Chicago, Illinois. In 1899 he became president and manager of the Company. This pattern is shown in the "Chain of Evidence" book by the Anderson Study Group. Please let me know if you require any additional photographs.
