Four early 20th century buttons from India. They each depict native birds of the Indian continent, two kingfishes, a heron and I believe some sort of finch. These colourfully painted 'Folk Art' images were rendered onto domed lightweight wooden discs with the addition of decorative gilding, they were then given a final coat of lacquer to preserve the delicate brushwork. The reverse of each button was painted in olive green and t are circular drilled self shanks to the centre. They range between an inch to 1-1/8 ins in diameter and are in good overall condition, just very minor rubbing to the paintwork and t but nothing substantial. Shipping costs $10:00 this includes full insurance. Buyers from the U.K shipping costs £5:00 including insurance. I can of course combine shipping costs for multiple purchases. Thanks for looking and good luck if you decide to bid.
