Pure Bronze Contemporary Art Sculpture , " Javelineer " on black Marble base I am an established supplier of quality, pure bronze, statues & figurines, offering many of the standard bronzes sold within the UK, together with some of the rarer bronzes. This extremely high quality bronze, produced by the hot cast, lost wax technique is securely mounted on a solid marble base Dimensional Data The statue, overall, is 415 mm high, & around 460 mm wide (tip to end of javelin) & weighs 8,1 kgs The bronze plinth upon which he stands, is 292 mm long x 154 mm wide x 20 mm thick The solid rectangular black marble base is 312 mm long x 180 mm wide x 28 mm thick. General A stunning bronze piece, with incredible detail, adding distinction as either a centrepiece, or main attraction to any dwelling. A rather unique, & individual sculpture, rarely seen in the UK & an ideal item for collectors of this type This limited quantity of bronzes, were sourced to commemorate the 2012 London Olympic Games, as London will become the first city ever to host the games three times ( 1908, 1948 & 2012) The current Olympic record holder is Andreas Thorkildsen, who threw a distance of 90,57 metres at the Beijing games in 2008 This athletic young man, is one of a pair, his sister is the "Gymnast".
