Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous Excellent Plus American Flyer Chesapeake & Ohio GP-7 #21234 Diesel. This engine is the Long Step version. This engine is pristine. Paint retention is superb. The only paint wear I can see is a few very small nick/flea bites on the handrails near the steps on each end and some very minor wear on the bottom of the chassis where the couplers rubbed against underframe likely occurring when coupling cars to the engine. The wheels show minimal use. The bell ringing unit works good. The factory ink stamp is fully intact on the bottom of the chassis. There are no broken or missing parts, no rust or corrosion and no melts. The engine runs smoothly. It has just been cleaned and lubricated. This is one of the best 21234's I've seen in my years' collecting Flyer. A very desirable piece in this condition.Note: Shipping charge includes insurance.
