My wife has asked me to 'down size' my accordion collection. I have therefore agreed to part with two of my instruments. This is my 120 bass Scandalli. It is a sound instrument but I have not played it a great deal - to be honest it does not have the depth of sound of my Hohner or Dallape, but then it was a fraction of their price. Scandalli is a reputable make and this would be a good instrument for someone wanting to start out on. It plays well. The straps are serviceable but £30 for a new set would not go amiss. The bellows are sound with no leaks or damage. The body shows no damage and I would describe it as very good given that it is probably 50 years old. To my ear it sounds fairly well in tune but I am no expert. The case is perfectly functional with working catches but heavy. Postage is £15 but I would prefer cash on collection - that way you save £15 postage and can examine the instrument to satisfy yourself that it is as described. Any inspection welcome.
