Lucy was influenced by Anasazi designs on pottery shards she found later in life. She began making her own designs utilizing black on white fine lines in hatch patterns. This is a beautiful example of those hatch patterns she introduced in Acoma pottery. Lucy Lewis pottery is extremely collectible. She has won numerous awards for her pottery as well as awards and recognition for her artistic accomplishments and personal contributions to this beautiful art form. This pottery is signed by the artist : "Lucy M. Lewis. " This piece is in excellent condition with no scratches or cracks or no other flaws.
