Antique Hand-Colored Magic Lantern Glass Slide Theme : Historical Yosemite National Park Images Image Description: Beautiful backdrop for this Acorn Cache in Yosemite Valley. "This photo shows the method of preserving the acorns from the weather and inroad of wild and domestic animals. A wicker basket is woven loosely and placed on the platform above the ground high enough to keep larger animals out of reach. The baskets are filled with acorns in the early Autumn and the thatch is placed over each basket." Manufacturer/Photographer : Not Identified Date of Creation: "c.1910s-1920s" Size: 3.25" x 4" Condition : Excellent Condition with no measurable wear on the glass surfaces or taped edges/binding.
