Up for your consideration is a P&A Acorn "Goodnighter" Swirl Pattern Mini Oil Lamp This little lamp is rather rare. I hadn't come across one in quite a few years and was a treat to find. The P&A Acorn burners were made with lighter weight tin and were lightly painted with brass colored paint rather than brass plate. Though they were functional as a lamp, they were made for decor, and not intended for actual use. Because of the lower quality metal and paint, these burners deteriorated rather quickly with age. It is difficult to find one in prime condition. This lamp was loved. Whoever had this cute little lamp previously thought enough of it to repaint the burner and fingerhold with metalic gold paint. This has protected the burner and bail fingerhold. When you remove the burner to look at it, most of the original brass paint is still there underneath and shows minimal aging. The burner turnkey is marked P&A Mfg. Co., Acorn on the outside face and Made in USA on the inside face. It still has it's original 1/4" wick and has never been lit. The chimney is a heavy 1/8" thick swirled patterned glass and measures 1 1/8" diameter X 3 3/8" tall. The font base is 3" in diameter with a swirl pattern on the top and straight cut bands on the side. With the bail fingerhold this adorable lamp is 4" wide and is 6" high overall.
