Up for Auction is an ORIGINAL ULTRA RARE INTELLIVISION VERSION Gamer's achievement patch for one of the 80's (If not the History of gaming's) biggest hit game PITFALL. ( + BONUSES ) INTELLIVISION was SEARS answer to ATARI. In the 80's... SEARS was an ENORMOUS Company & had the ability to produce their own brands of, NOT ONLY clothing, but televisions, appliances and... YES... Video game consoles. Think of it this way... It would be like today's MACY's, KOHL's, HOT TOPIC, etc... Having the finances, and ability, to create & manufacture a gaming console system to compete with PLAYSTATION 3 or X-BOX 360... NOT in this day & age...For those of you who are too young to know (or remember) Pitfall was one of the best-selling video games in 80's home console history. So popular, in fact, that it was one of the 1st games to be cross merchandised with non-video game merchandise & even spawned its own Saturday morning cartoon starring none other than Pitfall Harry (The main character of Pitfall).About the Patch: This patch was awarded to those people with the following achievements:Score 20,000 Points, or more.This patch ( The INTELLIVISION VERSION ) is considered by MANY to be one of the MOST SOUGHT-AFTER (if not RAREST) 80's gaming patches of ALL TIME . Intellivision was NOWHERE as near popular as ATARI 2600 or ATARI 5200. In addition, the Atari gaming console FAR OUT SOLD the Intellivision console therefore, there are a LOT more Atari Pitfall patches in circulation that there are Intellivision. However, EVEN the Atari Pitfall patches are hard to come-bye & are seldomly listed for sale on eBay or other online sites. When an Atari Pitfall patch lists for sale, it is NOT cheap.If you accomplished this you were awarded a patch and were an honorary member of Pitfall Harry's, "Explorers Club". BONUS : In ADDITION to the gamer patch, I am also including 4 EXTREMELY VINTAGE (Some of the EARLIEST that I know of... If not the 1st ever...) Activision Video Game Cartridge Catalogs for the ATARI 2600 Gaming System, Original Intellivision Pitfall Game box, Instruction Booklet, 2 Control Pad Inserts (For those of you who are not familiar with Intellivision, each game had its own custom control keypad insert that you would slide into the numbered control pad & use the corresponding wording or graphics to control your on-screen character). The actual Pitfall Game Cartridge is NOT included, as I do NOT have it (I have evrything BUT the cartridge).1. 1978 ATARI GAME & CONSOLE/EQUIPMENT CATALOG: " POSSIBLY" the FIRST EVER ATARI CATALOG ...? 2. 1979 ATARI GAME & CONSOLE/EQUIPMENT CATALOG: Featuring the FIRST Atari Advertisement APPEARANCE of the SUPERMAN video game.3. 1980 ATARI GAME & CONSOLE/EQUIPMENT CATALOG: Featuring a look at Atari's previous, current & future releases leading up to & through 1980. 4. 1981 ATARI GAME & CONSOLE/EQUIPMENT CATALOG: Featuring a look at 43 Atari Game Program Cartridges leading up to & through 1981. 5. 1982 INTELLIVISION (SEARS) PITFALL GAME BOX: Featuring the ORIGINAL game box, ORIGINAL game instruction booklet, and 2 ORIGINAL control pad inserts. A brief History about Activision & their reward patches: Activision, the first 3rd party videogame publisher, operated a fantstic marketing program in the 80's to promote the sale of their software for the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Colecovision and the Mattel Intellivision. To obtain any of the coveted Activision patches, a player would need to play a particular game, reach a pre-determined score, and mail a photograph prooving the accomplishment to Activision.
