Admiral Gardner Shipwreck coin - 1808 This coin was recovered from the ship wreck of the Admiral Gardner. The ship was carrying East India Cash coins minted in 1808. The Admiral Gardner sank on the Goodwin Sands in January of 1809. The ship was discovered in 1985, and these copper coins were carefully recovered, perserved, and made available to the public for sale. The number of coins was limited, and now the only way to purchase is through the resale market. This is a great way to own a peice of history! It makes a wonderful gift! The attached photos shows the front of the coin. Please email with any questions.
